Center for Students in Recovery
The center for students in recovery is a campus resource that you may never need. You may even doubt that UT Tyler has any need for a program of recovery on campus; however, I know that is not the case. I know that there is a need for a program like this because I have lived the life of addiction and recovery. From the moment I entered the student body as an undergraduate to my employment as a university staff member, I have lived the life of addiction and recovery.
CSR @ UT Tyler is a chance for anyone with an interest in addiction and recovery to be part of a movement of hope. Currently we offer a small group recovery meeting on Wednesdays at 1pm in HPR 247. I would like to extend an offer that the University has been gracious enough to bestow on you as students: come be a part of building a program of hope! We need the input of the student who needs someone to talk to, the student who doesn’t know how to balance the stress of college life with the desire to succumb to temptation and peer pressure, or the student who just wants something to do with like-minded people.
